Nursery Manager (Cultivation Canabis)

- Male or Females Bachelor’s degree or relevant certifications in agriculture, agronomy, horticulture, biology or a related field.
- At least 4 years previous experience in a similar role.
- Previous experience working with cannabis is desirable but not essential.
- Fluent in Thai and English
- Experience: Minimum of three years of experience in a supervisory role within a commercial cultivation facility.
- Leadership Skills: Proven ability to lead and motivate a team, with excellent communication, coaching, and interpersonal skills.
- Regulatory Compliance: Strong understanding of compliance requirements (Thai GACP) and experience ensuring adherence to standards.
- Detail-Oriented: Ability to maintain precise records, follow procedures, and ensure product quality through meticulous attention to detail
- Problem-Solving: Strong analytical and problem-solving skills to address operational challenges effectively.
- Physical Capability: Capable of standing and sitting for extended periods, lifting heavy objects, and performing repetitive tasks.
1. Propagation: Supervise the propagation process including selecting and
preparing cuttings and seeds, monitoring humidity, temperature and light
levels, and ensuring proper rooting and development of clones and seedlings.
2. Mother plant maintenance: Work with the chief cultivator to schedule the
creation and maintenance of new mother plants pruning them to ensure a
consistent supply of healthy cuttings.
3. Irrigation and Nutrient Management: Monitor irrigation systems to ensure
proper watering schedules and nutrient delivery. Adjust nutrient formulations
as needed based on plant health and growth stage.
4. Pest and Disease Management: Implement integrated pest management
(IPM) strategies to prevent and control pests and diseases. Regularly scout
plants for signs of pests or diseases and take appropriate actions to mitigate
risks.
5. Environmental Monitoring: Monitor environmental conditions within the
greenhouse such as temperature, humidity, and CO2 levels. Make
adjustments to climate control systems to optimize growing conditions for
cannabis plants.
6. Inventory Management: Maintain accurate records of plant inventory including
tracking plant growth stages, transplanting schedules, and inventory levels of
supplies such as pots, growing media, and nutrients.
7. Training and Supervision: Train and supervise nursery staff in proper
cultivation techniques, safety protocols, and compliance with regulatory
requirements. Provide guidance and support to ensure the team meets
production targets and quality standards.
8. Compliance: Ensure compliance with Thai GACP regulations and standards
governing cannabis cultivation, including but not limited to tracking plants from
propagation to the vegetative stage, maintaining accurate record-keeping, and
implementing security protocols.
9. Quality Control: Implement quality control measures to ensure the production
of high-quality cannabis plants free from pests, diseases, and other
contaminants. Conduct regular inspections and quality assessments to
maintain product integrity.
10.Continuous Improvement: Identify opportunities for process improvements
and efficiency gains within the nursery operations. Collaborate with the Chief
Cultivator and other team members to implement best practices and optimize
workflows.
11.Report Writing: Prepare comprehensive and accurate reports on nursery
operations, plant health, growth metrics, and any issues encountered,
ensuring data-driven decision-making and compliance with regulatory
requirements.
12.Training and Development: Provide training, guidance, and support to team
members, fostering a culture of continuous improvement and skill
development.
13.Communication and Collaboration: Liaise with other departments to facilitate
smooth operations, communicate production needs, and contribute to crossfunctional initiatives.
14.Input essential data related to the post-harvest process into the Cannavigia
track and trace software.
