The research on “Using Semi-supervised Transfer Learning for Classification of Solar Lentigo, Lentigo Maligna, and Lentigo Maligna Melanoma” is one of my great prides. As a team, two other friends and I initiated this healthcare innovation with the goal to help physicians diagnose diseases productively. With the high incidence of skin cancer worldwide, as well as the difficulty in classifying the appearance, we adopt a transdisciplinary approach to solve this problem. It took us over a year to find a perfect model for this classification. Once we found one, we try to further develop it to be an application for dermatologists.
Our paper was selected to attend the Siriraj International Conference (SICMPH 2022) and the Biomedical Engineering International Conference (BMEiCON). During the event, I learned the arts of Biomedical Engineering and the multidisciplinary approach in Medicine these days. Witnessing inventions from Thai innovators, fueled my desire to be a medical researcher.
We even won awards from regional, national, and international competitions. Apart from these achievements, I gained skills in computer programming, scientific investigation, and how to work in a team. I also learned how to design models creatively, and how to resolve problems that arise.
