University projects:
1. Senior project | 2020
- Outline
I am working with two co-workers to research the topic of various conditions to synthesize β-tricalcium phosphate doped with Zinc for bone and dental applications through review papers and conduct experiments.
- Key responsibilities
1st semester
-Read papers about β-tricalcium phosphate, Hydroxyapatite, β-tricalcium phosphate
reinforced with silk fibroin and other filler, β-tricalcium phosphate doped with Zinc and other elements and parameters effect the synthesis.
- Literature reviews in the papers mentioned above
- Wrote a report in introduction, scopes of research and experiment methods.
- Oral presentation in the proposal of my senior project.
- Progress with advisor every week.
2nd semester
-Conducted the experiments by varied Zinc concentration from 0 to 2 g. at the same mixing
speed and same calcinate temperature. D
- Compared mixing pattern between pouring and drop wise (4 ml/min.)
- Varied mixing speed from 0 to 3400 rpm.
- Varied calcinate temperature from 900 to 1000 ºC.
- Review papers.
- Progress with advisor every week.
*Note: At first, I will be working on improving mechanical properties of β-tricalcium phosphate with Zinc by reinforcement of silk in each ratio, but I need to scope down and review papers instead because of the covid-19 virus crisis.
2. Seminar | 2020
- Outline
I reviewed the paper from Pooja Rai et al., Ceramics International, 2019, Vol. 45, pp. 16893-16903. in the topic of Corrosion study of biodegradable magnesium based 1393 bioactive glass in simulated body fluid.
-Key responsibilities
- Searched for supporting information about their experiments.
- Wrote an extended abstract.
- Oral presentation in the topic of Corrosion study of biodegradable magnesium based 1393
bioactive glass in simulated body fluid.
- Progress with advisor two days.
3. Internship | Ming Chi University of Science and Technology, Taiwan | 3 June - 1 August 2019
-Outline
I was doing a research project individually under one masters degree student and one laboratory staff member in the topic Characterization of extended atmospheric pressure plasma and its bactericidal effect in the Center for Plasma and Thin Film Technologies in the department of Material Engineering and attended classes. I had a chance to attended a conference at Chang Gung University of Science and Technology while I was internship.
-Key responsibilities
- Conducted the experiments by bacteria culturing and used plasma to cure bacteria.
- Divided agar dish into 6 parts, 5 parts inject plasma for 2 minutes and another was not
injected then varied the parameters affect the antibacterial.
- Used different length of plasma (silicon tube 10-40 cm.) with the same working distance
- Used different working distance (0.5-2.5 cm.) with the same length of tube.
- Observed others research projects.
- Progressed my project every week.
- Attended classes such as foundation of plasma, python, and Chinese language.
- Oral presentation about characterization of extended atmospheric pressure plasma and its
bactericidal effect in the final day.
4. GEN 241 Beauty of life course stage play | 2017
- Outline
This course project was about creating a stage play. In my sophomore year, second semester, I learned how to create a stage play called CHANGE (you can watch it in https://youtu.be/0v_cr8WIw2U). I chose my main duty as a teaser creator with six co-workers and a secondary duty as an actor.
