current customers. These professional book rooms through the direct calls or email
and often answer the client inquiries. Manage all incoming calls for

- A hotel reservation clerk is the human face of a hotel. Hotel reservation clerks are the first form of contact between the hotel and the clients. The client's first impression of the hotel is not only influenced by the ambiance but more so by the services I receive from the hotel reservations clerk. The hotel reservation clerk may work in a particular hotel or operate from a call center working for different hotels.
- Keep up to date with knowledge of phone system. Handle all guests' special
requests in a professional manner. Complete all necessary projects by the
assigned times. Complete documents as directed and to specifications.
Responsible for taking reservations and accurately inputting into
the PMS (Property management system). Answer inquiries of room rates, outlets
and room locations. Be familiar with property, amenities and surrounding areas.
- Interact with Group Rooms Coordinator on bookings. My Career Planner reports
that much of the day is spent dealing directly with members of the public. Typical
day-to-day activities of those working as a hotel reservation clerk include
checking in guests and giving out hotel information, interacting with team
leaders and managers, documenting information, handling conflicts or disputes
and making decisions based on company procedures. The role involves dealing
with guests, managers and fellow reservations workers.

- Responsibilities for my job often include answering a multi-line phone system and greeting and directing guests, as well as staff.
